I spent much of the year from 2014 - 2015 back home in the New York area, taking care of my mother. I walked back and forth from her apartment on East 90th St. to Mt. Sinai hospital. The photos in this group were taken on those walks. I remembered many walks as akid growing up there -  not stepping on cracks, wondering at the reflective mica in the pavement, looking at the snow and rain stains and leftovers.
I layered the pavement pictures with older scenes I had taken in New York when I lived there. I like them more for the color and texture, which still surprises me.   Ice RingGreen Leaf, 90th & 1stTire TracksSlushDress88th StSteamMidtownCrone From the Empire State BuildingLovers
